Get Involved

We appreciate all the support and involvement our alumni, industry, government and community provide the ECIC each year.

Supporting us means supporting the next generation of future employees to receive the best educational experience possible during their time at university.

Current Opportunities

  • Australian eChallenge Sponsorship and Mentoring

Sponsors are a vital part of the Australian eChallenge. Each year our sponsors have the opportunity to:

    • Network with progressive and like-minded companies/organisations
    • Build business opportunities
    • Associate their brand with the University of Adelaide
    • Support and encourage the best and upcoming entrepreneurial minds in South Australia (and beyond)

There are also many opportunities to be a mentor to our eChallenge participants.

The aim of the mentoring scheme is to assist teams with building a robust, realistic business model with a view to possible commercialisation. Mentors are professionals who donate their time to the Australian eChallenge.

These volunteers have experience with writing business plans and/or building great companies. While their free time is in short supply, mentors have pledged to help teams develop and refine their business plan.

If you would like more information about sponsoring South Australia's premier student entrepreneurial competition, or becoming a mentor, please contact Zrinka Tokic, Australian eChallenge Manager.

  • ThIncLab Mentoring

The ECIC is also is currently looking for Mentors for the new ThIncLab Commercialisation program. Mentors will engage postgraduate students and PhD Candidates that have thoroughly explored the commercial viability of their projects and will have a good understanding of what is involved in taking their product or service to market.

For details, please contact Megan Llewellyn, ThIncLab Manager.

  • Bequests

Would you like to leave a gift that creates something of everlasting significance and importance? A bequest, or gift by Will, no matter how large or small, is an effective way of providing a permanent legacy which will enable the ECIC to address immediate and changing needs.

For assistance with specific information and wording, please visit the University's bequest website or contact Sue Fox, Planned Giving Officer.

  • Donations

We can discuss the capacity in which you would like your donation to be used, be it for students or research, or another case that is meaningful to you, the donor.

If you would like to discuss making a donation to the ECIC, please contact Luke Van Trigt, Alumni Relations Officer (Faculty of Professions).

  • Scholarships

Scholarships attract high-calibre students from Australia and abroad. They act as an incentive for students to strive for and achieve excellence in their studies. They also provide support for students who might otherwise be unable to take up a university place or complete their study.

The University of Adelaide recognises that those who are financially or educationally disadvantaged should not be denied access to quality tertiary education. You may wish to provide a scholarship for a student from a rural or regional community, indigenous, a student in financial need, first generation or a top performing student.

Please contact Luke Van Trigt, Alumni Relations Officer (Faculty of Professions), for further information.

  • Prizes

Prizes award students who have demonstrated excellence in their academic courses. Prizes are awarded in a variety of amounts, however we respectfully ask that they be a minimum amount of $500 to ensure they have a significant impact on the student.

We can help you decide where your financial support is best directed to reflect your connection to the School and industry. Please contact the ECIC on 1300 660 543 for further information.

If you would like more information about giving to the ECIC or the University, please contact Luke Van Trigt, Alumni Relations Officer (Faculty of Professions).

  • Internships

Your organisation can provide our students with an internship. Internships are mutually beneficial - you are able to introduce quality graduates to your organisation, potentially freeing up employees to get on with higher level tasks, while they also contribute to our students’ overall education and university experience as they apply the theoretical knowledge from their studies to your workplace and projects.

Our interns are garnered with fresh ideas, solutions and enthusiasm, and ready to pass on the latest knowledge and ideas from their studies onto your organisation. Please contact Jessica Mills for further information.
