Located in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, it is the largest international joint-venture university in China, offering dual UK and China undergraduate, and UK postgraduate, degree programmes.

All programmes are influenced by leading research and industry expertise, and taught 100 percent in English by academic staff from more than 50 countries. XJTLU graduates are highly sought-after in the global job market for their language skills, academic abilities and international outlook.

International Business School Suzhou at XJTLU offers a unique blend of western and Chinese academic practices. Located in one the fastest-growing commercial centres in China's booming eastern corridor, IBSS seeks to become an international leader in business education and research.

As a research-led school, IBSS has strengths in many different areas of business, economics and finance. Researchers enjoy close links with the University of Liverpool in the UK and they sustain strong Chinese and international research networks, enabling collaboration with colleagues at other institutions around the globe. Through research institutes such as the Ageing and Society Institute, IBSS staff pursue China-specific, cross-disciplinary research collaborations with XJTLU colleagues.

To realise the School's fast-expanding research goals IBSS has a range of laboratories and hubs, such as the XJTLU China Innovation Hub and the International Technology Transfer Centre, to facilitate research and foster business-academic collaboration.

Much of IBSS' research is applied and the results may be used in practice to benefit organisations. This fulfils one of IBSS' founding principles: to have impact on the economy and society.
