The Entrepreneurship, Commercialisation and Innovation Centre

Established in 2001, the Entrepreneurship, Commercialisation and Innovation Centre (ECIC) holds a long tradition in entrepreneurship and innovation excellence. One of the first of its kind, it is considered the biggest and most successful in Australia.

Our success comes from the way we holistically integrate research, teaching and incubation with a global footprint. This enables a world-class environment for us to collaborate widely and to create social, economic, cultural, and intellectual value and impact in the communities we operate in.

Cultivating knowledge and creativity, the Centre stimulates and develops innovation, entrepreneurship, project management and complex systems capabilities.

With a unique, holistic learning model, students are provided with the skills, experience, and guidance to pursue their aspirations while at the same time establishing their own businesses if they so desire.

We facilitate the growth of proactive and innovative leaders who can make a positive difference within their organisation, company or community.

The Centre offers complementary and integrated courses taught via three distinct methods; coursework programs, research programs, and community engagement initiatives. Undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation and project management are available in face-to-face, online, or in blended models.

An ideal entry point for those looking to kick-start or enhance their careers, or to develop and accelerate their own company in a supported environment, these courses will offer a unique edge.

For those looking to develop their research abilities or differentiate themselves in the market, the Centre’s strong and diverse research program provides the opportunity to complete a higher degree by research in entrepreneurship, innovation, project management or complex systems.

We also offer world class student and community centric engagement initiatives including the Australian eChallenge, ThIncLab programs, and MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses).
